COMMUNITY

The Eatontown Lions Club has embarked on a capital fundraising campaign to establish an all abilities playground to be installed on space provided by Eatontown Borough at Leon Smock 80 Acres Park, Wall St. & Industrial Way East in Eatontown. This partnership between the Lions and the Borough will provide a new activity for area families; the equipment focus is children with special needs.

Children with a diverse range of abilities playing together in the same space will develop a sense of equality and togetherness they will never experience if they remain separated in play. It allows them to interact with one another, exposing their differences, while highlighting their similarities, helping them to develop an awareness, respect and understanding of people with all abilities.

Our fundraising goal is $250,000. To achieve our goal the Eatontown Lions Club members are soliciting donations from businesses, organizations and individuals such as you. Please review the enclosed materials which highlight our project. All donations are being processed through our 501(C)(3) Eatontown Lions Club Foundation. Please mail your tax deductible donation to:

OUR HISTORY

The Eatontown Lions Club was formed in 1969 and has been serving the Eatontown Local  Community ever since. Lions volunteer their time to much needed humanitarian causes in our local and world communities. By conducting service projects and raising funds, Lions strive to help those in need, wherever they are.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Our motto is “We Serve.”

Eye Screening

The Eatontown Lions Club members screened over 1200 children for vision problems at New Jersey schools and day care centers. The children were screened for several common vision conditions using a state of the art vision screener. It works like a camera to identify problems in just a few seconds.
